If You Think You Know Something, You Don't Know Anything | 4 Entry Points Of Pride

  • Watch

In this powerful installment of our Humility Before Honor series, we tackle one of pride’s most deceptive traits: thinking we know more than we really do. Pride often hides behind knowledge, opinions, and a sense of superiority. It says, “I’ve got this figured out,” while overlooking how little we actually see and understand. Romans 12:3 tells us not to think more highly of ourselves than we ought, but to think soberly — with a realistic view of who we are. When pride creeps in, it inflates our self-esteem, fuels comparison, and convinces us we’re “something special,” especially because of what we know, have, or can do. But 1 Corinthians 8:2 reminds us: “If anyone thinks he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.” True humility acknowledges this — that we are limited in knowledge, blurry in perspective, and fully dependent on God for wisdom.

From Series: "Humility Before Honor"

In this eye-opening series, we dive deep into the spiritual principle found in Proverbs 18:12 — “Before honor comes humility.” God desires to honor, protect, and promote His people, but there's a path we must take to receive it: the path of humility. In this message, we explore the clear connection between humility and honor, and pride and destruction. Humility gives God access to lift you up, protect your life, and pour out His blessings. On the other hand, pride creates a way of living that opens the door for the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. God has promotion and protection on His mind — but He calls us to walk in humility so we can receive the honor He wants to give.
